“In my background, I worked as a nanny and also in a group home. The Community Health Worker position is really good if you enjoy looking after people. You really need a lot of empathy and love. The people you work with enrich you and are fun to work with! I worked in private homes but for the past year have been working in a senior’s residence. I do the same kind of work in both environments, so I can’t say I prefer one over the other. I have worked with younger people who were disabled and now the elderly.  The program at Drake Medox College was really excellent, and the instructors really cared about us. One thing I really like is that I can take all the Drake Medox continuing education courses for free, as they are always offering workshops to help us keep up with the changes.”
